Description

This subject is designed for health professionals, particularly those in management and leadership, seeking to enhance their understanding of digital health interventions and their integration into health and social care services.

Students will learn about the principles of digital health technology, differentiate between data and knowledge, and understand the role of digital solutions in patient safety and service improvement. Additionally, students will develop an appreciation of the complex socio-technical benefits, challenges and risks associated with the adoption and use of digital health interventions and develop an understanding of how to successfully implement these technologies into practice.

Teaching and learning will be interactive, utilising real-world examples to illustrate the complexities of digital health technology implementation and to foster a deeper understanding of its potential impact on health and social care services.
