The UTS Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing and Technology is for those seeking the knowledge and skills to advance their Digital Marketing career or make a career change into Digital Marketing.
The curriculum merges Business School's expertise with insights from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Subjects are relevant to industry needs and provide technical knowledge that is immediately applicable to work or business.
Course aims
This course develops students' learning agility to upskill and secure a career in a world where it is essential to develop a deep understanding of the digital market and customers. Demand for digital marketing and technology expertise is rapidly growing across industries, broadening career opportunities like never before.
This course focuses on digital marketing tools, platforms, and analytics, where students gain a broad digital marketing skillset and a strong understanding of the role of digital in society and the workplace. Graduates acquire skills in conveying business information effectively while applying critical and strategic thinking to decision-making guided by ethical principles of social responsibility.
Career options
Through interactive content, real-world case studies, and collaborative projects, this program empowers students to lead change in the digital age. Students gain a holistic understanding of the digital marketing landscape and develop in-demand skills for a variety of careers, including Digital Marketing Specialist, Digital Marketing Manager, Platforms Manager, Omnichannel Manager, Marketing Analyst, Marketing Strategy, or CX Consultant.

Admission requirements
To be eligible for admission to this course, applicants must meet the following criteria.
Applicants must have one of the following:
- Completed Australian bachelor's degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent, in a related field of study AND a minimum of 2 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant post-degree marketing professional experience
OR
- Completed Australian bachelor’s degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent, in any field of study AND a minimum of 4 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant post-degree marketing professional experience
Related fields of study:
Sales, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or Real Estate
Relevant marketing professional experience:
Advertising Manager, Media Professional, Sales and Marketing Manager or Professional, Public Relations Manager and Professional or Sales Representatives and Agents.
Applicants who do not meet the criteria above should consider applying for C11306 Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing or C11345 Graduate Certificate in Marketing and Digital Strategy.
Supporting documentation to be submitted with the application
For applicants who need to demonstrate work experience:
- Curriculum Vitae AND Statement of service in one of the following formats:
- A 'Statement of Service' provided by the employer
- A completed 'UTS statement of service’ signed by the employer
- A statutory declaration confirming work experience (for Australian Residents only)
- An official letter from the applicant’s accountant or solicitor on their company letterhead confirming the applicant’s work experience or engagement with the business, duration of operations, and the nature of the business
- A business certificate of registration in original language and English (e.g. provision of ASIC documentation or ABN or similar documentation for Australian Businesses)
The English proficiency requirement for local applicants with international qualifications is: IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL iBT: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.

Recognition of prior learning
Students in the Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing and Technology are not granted exemptions for any prior studies.
Course duration and attendance
The course can be completed in a minimum of eight months online study (i.e., 1 x 6 credit points subject per session over 4 x 7-week teaching sessions). A 6 credit point subject requires an average of 15-20 hours of study per week.
Approval to study more than one six-credit point subject per session will be subject to Faculty approval.
Course structure
The course comprises a total of 24 credit points.
