Overview
The world is changing rapidly through digitalisation of much human interaction and communication processes. This, combined with the shifting attitudes among people about brands and the communication and other interactions they have with organisations, is creating new challenges and opportunities for people involved in creating and managing communication programmes.
The Master of Strategic Communication introduces students to knowledge and skills which are relevant to developing and managing communication in their work. It provides opportunities to apply and develop those skills and so discover how clear and effective communication is more important than ever to achieve positive breakthroughs, to meet challenges, and to solve problems. In doing this, students are encouraged to be curious, creative, rigorous, inclusive and respectful of the audiences with whom they communicate.
The Master of Strategic Communication from UTS Online is designed especially for future-focused professionals to learn online and demonstrate how to effectively deploy the full spectrum of communication tools and techniques to achieve positive outcomes. It was designed using the latest, most current communication scholarship and in collaboration with industry to ensure that the exercises and assessments are grounded in contemporary practice and prepare the student for the communication development and related problem-solving tasks they face going forward in their careers.
Career options
Career options are varied and may include a range of dynamic senior roles in corporate, government, political, organisational or marketing communication, advertising, public relations or integrated communication.
