Description
Conducting applied research projects in international relations empowers students to hone their critical thinking skills and master research methodologies, enabling them to make meaningful contributions to the field and excel in the global landscape. This subject provides students with the opportunity to design and conduct applied research projects on topics of their choice within the field of international relations. The subject builds on the theoretical knowledge and methodological skills gained in previous coursework and provides students with hands-on experience in the process of designing and carrying out research projects. Students work with instructors to develop their research questions, identify appropriate methods and data sources, and carry out their research projects. Projects may involve the application of quantitative or qualitative methods, or a combination of both, to analyse a current issue or problem in international relations and to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills relevant to the field.
