Description

This subject equips students with the foundations to conduct advanced property investment analysis in professional practice. Students will develop essential quantitative skills for the property industry. Techniques will be explored, and skills will be built in the use of both financial calculators and Excel for financial analysis. In particular, the subject emphasises the analytical approach to property valuation, covering key topics such as capitalisation, time value of money, and discounted cash flows. Students will explore concepts, formulas, and calculations, as well as learn basic data visualisation using Excel tables, diagrams, and graphs.
