Description

Industry-based professional experience is paramount to ensure UTS graduates are work-ready with industry aligned skills. In this subject, students spend 560 hours in a pathology diagnostic laboratory under the supervision of experienced laboratory staff. During this period students learn about the different specialties and roles specific to a pathology laboratory. They build on the practical knowledge acquired in the previous years, solidify this knowledge and acquire new skills that are assessed in the laboratory. The students have the opportunity to scaffold their learning by being involved in different activities within the laboratory.
