41386 Process Design and Safety Studio

Description

This studio subject fosters the development of skills to design and manage complex engineering systems. Students work collaboratively on an authentic design project and produce design documentations. They also explore the application of data analytics and data visualisation for the whole system performance monitoring and optimisation. Students undertake a Hazard and Operability analysis; conduct a social, economic, and environmental sustainability evaluation; and present their design to other stakeholders. Upon the completion of this subject, students will be ready to work in a chemical plant environment adhering to the safety requirements in designing and operating complex engineering systems.
