26715 Identifying Health System Challenges

There are course requisites for this subject. See access conditions.

This subject examines how challenges in the health system are identified as issues which require a policy response. The subject presents a number of case studies which investigate how challenges come to claim policy attention, and how evidence is used to support the need for a new policy or a policy change. Students develop their own case studies which form the basis for Health Policy Development and the Health Policy Project. The subject brings students together to exchange ideas and discuss their case studies with experts in the field of health policy and health economics research and practice.
