This subject extends student knowledge through the exploration of contemporary techniques that deal with the assumptions of the classical regression model. In particular, the subject focuses on the problem of endogeneity in applied economics. Students learn a variety of techniques that deal with this problem and become familiar with randomisation methods, difference-in-difference estimators, and instrumental variable techniques.
