11392 Honours Thesis: Preparatory

Description

This subject supports students to undertake the preparatory work required to develop an honours thesis topic. Students develop the skills required to analyse and organise references in order to produce a final literature review. The overall aim of the subject is to ensure students gain the basic academic skills to organise the direction of a research project and use this knowledge to establish the scope of a research project.

The work completed in this subject enables students to fulfil the learning requirements of 11391 Research Methods, Information Retrieval and Project Proposal. The technical and academic knowledge and skills developed in this subject structures and positions the work necessary to assemble the research proposal in 11391.
