Description

The MRes thesis in Special and Inclusive Education is designed for educators, practitioners and advocates dedicated to creating inclusive environments and upholding the rights of individuals with disability. This research specialisation supports students to develop advanced research skills and apply relevant theoretical frameworks to critically analyse current research, policies and approaches that impact the disability community. In the thesis, students work alongside members of the UTS Disability Research Network which includes academics in education, humanities, law, health, business, IT and design. Students apply appropriate methodologies and methods to undertake research that informs their current practice and future career objectives. Completion of the degree allows students to have direct influence on current, evidence-based practice and emerge as leaders in their chosen field.
