SMJ08201 Marketing Research
The Marketing Research sub-major provides students with the cognitive, technical and creative skills to generate and evaluate complex ideas and concepts and apply them to the field of marketing and develops advanced marketing data analysis to gain valuable consumer insights. It helps students develop quantitative research skills that are critical to both knowledge generation in marketing theory and problem-solving in marketing practice. Students use statistical software to conduct various multivariate data analyses to solve a variety of marketing-related problems. This can then be applied to conduct high quality, managerially actionable research. The practical emphasis in this sub-major contributes to students' understanding of the theories, technical skills, and methodologies required to draw conclusions to make professional decisions for marketing decision-makers.
