Description

This subject builds on the foundation studies of mechanics and fields undertaken in introductory physics subjects. It takes advantage of the methods of linear algebra and differential equations to analyse the motion of particles and bodies under the influence of forces and fields. The subject covers application relevant topics from advanced class mechanics, such as force dynamics, coupled oscillators and relativity. The emphasis is on the development of advanced problem-solving skills.
