Description
This subject is designed to provide students who are proficient in reading, listening, speaking and writing in French with opportunities to engage with francophone culture. Students examine and engage with the sociocultural contexts in which the language is used, specifically with regard to questions of history and conflict in the francophone world. Via written and oral assessments that demonstrate continuing mastery of the French language, students, both individually and with their peers, respond to and analyse a variety of authentic sources in a manner that considers their cultural provenance and role.
