A team-based approach to patient care is transforming and improving primary care provision for both patients and their families and members of the health care team. Evidence shows utilising the complementary strengths and expertise of individual members of the health care team improves patient care overall. Acting effectively as a member of an inter-professional team is an essential skill for GP Pharmacists
The development of advanced level communication skills is essential for the performance of this challenging role. This subject will equip students with the skills and knowledge to enable them to participate as an active member of a health care team, communicate at an advanced level with their peers and to develop and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships.
