This subject is designed to support the planning, design, and implementation of a clinical psychology research project. Subject content encompasses advanced statistical analyses and research designs commonly implemented in sixth year master's projects, using SPSS as the base analytical software. Further to the content provided, this subject is in particular designed to provide hands-on support to students throughout the literature review, data collection, and data analysis stages of a clinical research project. The objectives of this subject are to train and support students in the process of planning and implementing a clinical research project.
Specifically, after successful completion of this subject it is expected that students are able to:
- engage in a thorough literature review
- collect and analyse data relevant to a clinical research project
- interpret data in line with a chosen research methodology and set of research questions.
