Description
This subject invites students to step into the shoes of professionals and decision-makers who are grappling with uncertainty when facing a current and pressing real-world challenge. Starting with a live challenge posed by an industry or community partner, students draw on a range of foresight practices and futures methods to speculate about the possible directions in which the challenge might unfold. Students work in multidisciplinary teams to ideate various disciplinary interventions, evaluating their effects and potential outcomes from a range of perspectives. Through this process, students arrive at proposals for action that are socially and environmentally just at local and global levels. The subject concludes with students integrating their insights into their own disciplinary domains, helping them to reimagine disciplines and professions for the future.
