Recommended studies:

prior exposure to design thinking or practices of innovation and creative intelligence (e.g. UTS Hatchery, 94663 Innovation and Entrepreneurial Studio A, 81516 Initiatives and Entrepreneurship) is desirable but not required

This subject is for student founders who are ready to create or grow their own start-up. It applies design thinking methods to not only transform ideas into successful businesses but also to transform student founders into inspirational leaders. The focus is on doing, not planning. Founders work on a real business idea. They take direct action to eliminate the key risks that their business faces. They make sales and generate revenue. They experience the joy of success and the passing pain of failures.

This subject is practical, demanding and fast-paced, with a heavy focus on field assignments and user-centred design. However, student founders are supported by coaching and advice from their classmates, academics and industry.
