Description

This subject aims to expand the students' awareness and understanding of the evolving post-anaesthetic recovery unit (PARU) nursing role. Through the development of specialised knowledge, students advance their expertise in optimal care of the post-anaesthesia patient including specifically clinical and professional practice, communication and collaboration, leadership and patient advocacy. Innovative simulation technologies are used to support students as they build their confidence in working with the deteriorating patient within the post-anaesthesia care unit.
