Description
This subject takes a practical approach to working with individuals, families and communities who are living with common chronic non-communicable diseases such as kidney disease, rheumatic heart disease, diabetes and obesity. Students develop an understanding of the common disease processes, preventative strategies, treatment and/or management in relation to chronic disease.
Completion of this subject equips students to provide profession-specific and integrated care of common chronic non-communicable diseases from an Indigenous primary health care perspective.
