Description

This subject provides an introduction to the role literacy and numeracy development has for health professionals. The subject develops skills in health-related literacies such as information processing, instruction and working with clients who have low-level literacy and numeracy skills. This subject also supports students to develop personal academic literacy and numeracy skills such as searching for information, structuring academic writing and understanding numerical concepts used in both everyday personal lives and professional practice.
