89214 Narrative Media Studio: Experiment

12cp

Description

This studio explores the ways in which non-verbal modalities such as visuals, audio, space, performance, gesture, colour, movement and timing function to support narrative or can be used as forms of narrative in themselves. Students experiment with forms of storytelling, aesthetics, animation and media in order to find new ways of representing and reshaping narrative animation. Students are encouraged to incorporate sound and music design in their animation and to explore the potential of analogue and digital technologies. This subject aims to support students in creative exploration, analysis and reflection on the animation process.
