Description
This studio is focused on a self-initiated project, which engages with entrepreneurial practice. In this studio students identify potential partnerships in the global fashion industry that they can explore to develop an entrepreneurial practice, linking to industry expertise. Students initiate this activity with a proposal, and a sustained and market-focused research application, which identify a unique market opportunity and potential industry partners.
Through self-directed study, students produce a body of research work linking their professional practice with the opportunity and experts they identify. Depending on the aim of the project, the end result may enable students to take an idea to market, submit their idea for funding or develop their practice into an area of commercialisation. The project may include website development, sponsorship development, business plan development, exhibition development or design for commercialisation. The outcomes of this studio enable students to develop their practice beyond the student context.
