Description

Chemical pathology is the investigation of body fluids and tissues to assist the diagnosis and management of disease. Many diseases have a specific chemical signature, and tests are designed to quantitatively compare results against those of the healthy population. This subject covers routine and specialist chemistry tests performed in pathology laboratories, preparation of pathology reports, and the method validation requirements for new tests to be incorporated and used.
