This subject is designed to cover all aspects of forensic document examination. Through a set of complementary lectures and practicals, students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about the processes involved in the field of document examination. They learn methods to examine, compare, interpret and report on traces related to document (i.e. paper and substrates, writing and printing instruments, ink analysis, security documents, handwriting and signature analysis). At the end of this subject, students are able to identify the relevant questions and select the appropriate procedures to process a document, interpret their findings and write expert witness reports.
