Description

This subject is designed to introduce the different skills required to be a successful scientific researcher. The subject explores the skills needed to be an effective researcher during the Honours year of the degree, and after its completion. Students learn to write a journal article using ACS conventions. Students create a presentation on their Honours project topic which is then delivered in a symposium organised by their peers. Students learn how to search patents and compile a report for an employer on a specified medicinal product. Students attend facilitated workshops that develop their skills to become effective researchers, and then submit assignments using these developed skills.
