Description
This subject further develops skills for undertaking independent research. It introduces students to themes such as the role of innovation, the regulatory framework in which research occurs and science communication, including the preparation of manuscripts and verbal communication of research findings. This material is presented within the broad context of critical professional skills required for a successful career in any research-oriented field of science. Students are encouraged to be self-motivated, work in a timely fashion and understand the importance of professional behaviour.
