The thesis in Strategic Communication provides students with a rigorous, comprehensive, and advanced understanding of communication research methodologies and analytical skills that can be used to generate insights to better understand and engage diverse stakeholders in society. Students design and conduct research to extend foundational and contemporary communication theories within the discipline of Strategic Communication.?The subject aims to equip students with the necessary capabilities to contribute to the practice of strategic communication through innovative and impactful research that addresses complex communication issues. Topics may include risk/issue/crisis communication, reputation management, brand health tracking and evaluation, advertising creative development and campaign tracking, stakeholder engagement, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, organisational listening, measurement, public behaviour, cultural insights, digital/social/mobile practices and engagement, and public diplomacy.
