The goal of technology and innovation management is to manage the invention, design, development, use and transfer of technology and innovation within an organisation. This subject introduces the basic concepts of innovation and technology management and provides students with the fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge to analyse and design innovation processes. In particular, it focuses on the importance of managing the entire product and service development cycle, from needs analysis and ideation through to implementation and beyond. In delivering an innovation project, students evaluate and apply diverse quantitative and qualitative tools to understand and address the complexity and interplay of different components of the innovation process.
