Description
In this Foundational level subject, students learn about different frameworks used by professional engineers, including those regarding ethics, project management, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement. Students are given opportunities to investigate and evaluate real-world projects through these different perspectives. In particular, there is a focus on how the project has applied principles of sustainability, and to what extent community needs (for example the Indigenous community and other stakeholders) have been considered.
The subject introduces some of the key considerations used in professional practice, such as ethics, sustainability, and project management approaches that they will subsequently develop and apply in the remainder of the core.
