In this subject, students learn, improve and apply selected workplace skills. Whilst on a work placement, students develop a learning contract by selecting several professional skills of interest and that they can extend to SFIA level 4 (enable). Workplace projects and problems provide a context in which the selected skills can be learnt, improved and applied, and the consequences of application used to extend the student's understanding. The student’s experiences contribute to develop a portfolio of evidence of their level of expertise in their selected skills.
