Anti-requisite(s): 35140 Introduction to Quantitative Management
This subject is an introduction to quantitative management methodology and modelling. A variety of problems from manufacturing, construction, supply chain management and finance are considered, together with approaches to the formulation of the corresponding mathematical models. Models include linear programs, nonlinear programs, integer programs, and decision trees. Solutions for the models are obtained using commercial decision support software including spreadsheet add-ins and mathematical programming modelling systems.
