The objective is for the participants to develop an in-depth understanding of global business and best practices. The subject focuses on providing candidates with an appreciation of the impact of global economics and finance on business models and strategies. This subject provides an in-depth collaborative and practical learning experience for candidates in the form of and international field trip of approximately one-week duration. The location may vary from year to year depending on the particular business practice areas under scrutiny and the most relevant place to source best practice visits and other input. Depending on which location is selected, the trip may also include a study tour component co-hosted by a UTS network partner University. Candidates will develop an in-depth understanding of international business and associated best practices. The subject focuses on providing candidates with an appreciation of the impact of global economics and finance, policy, technology, social and environmental trends on business models, strategies and operations. Because this subject usually involves an international field trip it entails additional costs for candidates in the form of airfare and accommodation costs.
