Organisations are in constant states of change. Faced with pressures of globalization, competition, innovation, digitisation, and disruptive technology, change can have significant impacts on the workforce of organisations. This subject critically examines the challenges and opportunities that organisations face in managing their workforce during times of change. Students will analyze the changes in strategy at an organizational level and how these effects the implementation of human resource practice. This will include topics such as the management of organizational change, organizational culture, resistance, organizational performance and strategy, leadership in managing change, and sustaining organizational change. Moreover, students will be encouraged to explore the ethical and sustainability aspects of their change decisions and the impact they have on internal and external stakeholders.
