Recent advancements in AI, including machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL), offer transformative potential for the AEC industry, enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

The subject explores different types and methods of AI engineering and related technologies, and how the construction sector has applied these technologies successfully. Students are guided to develop a critical point of view of the technologies, feasibility, effort and impacts. The subject also focuses on the ethics and risks of AI engineering and related technologies in the AEC industry.
