This subject is an introduction to planning and property markets, and the property development industry. The planning framework and planning instruments are explored, and the development application process explained. The methods and data used for property market analysis are covered, and related concepts and issues in property development identified. The macroeconomic environment and current economic issues, and their relationship to property and business cycles, are discussed.
