In this subject, students explore the underlying social and pedagogical implications of ICT and their application to education. They investigate ways of using learning technologies to help young people design, think, create and learn in a digital world. Students examine how use of various digital technologies might mediate authentic, student-led, and collaborative learning in their discipline area and consider appropriate digital pedagogies for face-to-face, online and mobile learning environments. They also consider contemporary social, ethical and curriculum issues relating to the use of emerging learning technologies in secondary school education.
