Description
This subject considers the knowledge and skills required to develop and implement language, literacy and numeracy programs and assessment in a variety of school, university and adult settings in Australia and overseas, including standalone EAL/EFL programs, mainstream school classrooms, child and adult new arrival programs, work-based language, literacy and numeracy courses and centres for English for academic purposes. It introduces knowledge and skills for designing, evaluating and critiquing programs of learning for English language, literacy and numeracy. The subject addresses both informal and formal processes and procedures in language, literacy and numeracy assessment, including designing and critiquing assessment instruments.
