010055 Course Design
2cpDescription
How can course teams collaboratively design innovative courses that fulfil the future needs of all stakeholders, meet the Higher Education Standards and appropriately challenge an increasingly diverse student body? In this subject, participants use whole-of-course thinking to design a course that progressively develops graduate attributes, Indigenous cultural competency and academic integrity throughout the student journey. Their goal is to review their courses and learning designs with fresh eyes. In the process they create aligned course designs that provide opportunities for personalised learning and empower future students to become highly employable lifetime learners in an increasingly digital world. Being a custodian of a course has never been more important. To fulfil this role, participants evaluate models of innovation and their impact in higher education design and locate these models within their specific contexts and students’ perspectives.
