010054 Assessment and Feedback

In this subject participants investigate how a wide range of assessment techniques can be designed to successfully enhance student learning. The subject explores the concept of assessment for learning to look at the role of feedback in the design of subjects and how feedback can influence and direct students’ learning. Participants review the assessment design in one of their subjects to determine which aspects of assessment can better align with the subject’s intended learning outcomes. Through a redesign of the subject to include authentic and sustainable assessment methods participants demonstrate they can align assessment with university and faculty strategic directions, provide timely feedback to students, and adopt strategies that maximise the effectiveness of their assessment tasks.
