SMJ10176 Water Resources Engineering

This sub-major develops skills in planning, development, and management of water resources. Subjects within the sub-major provide a deeper understanding of systems that ensure the community is provided with a continuous supply of water for drinking, living and recreational purposes. In addition, students learn how to forecast and manage flooding events and develop engineering solutions for the distribution of water. The purpose of the Water Engineering sub-major is to provide up-to-date knowledge in the fields of stormwater design, catchment modelling, flood estimation, water resources management in both urban and rural environments.

Assumed study includes 48641 Fluid Mechanics and 48362 Hydraulics and Hydrology.
