SMJ10175 Transport Engineering
The Transport Engineering sub-major focusses on the application of principles of physics, psychology, economics and technological uplift in the design and delivery of transport infrastructure. Students learn how to design, operate, maintain and manage transport infrastructure and systems to provide safe, efficient and comfortable travel for the community. Specifically, students gain skills in traffic and transport planning, transport impact assessment as well as road and pavement design that can aid in achieving a sustainable transport system. The sub-major imbibes training skills related to safe, efficient, rapid, convenient, comfortable, economical and environmentally acceptable movement of goods and people.
