The Tourism major prepares students for employment opportunities in the visitor and attractions sectors by providing exposure to professional practice in all sectors of tourism, both in Australia and globally. Students engage in tourism knowledge through dynamic and multifaceted modes of practice-orientated education. Students undertake field visits, have exposure to leading travel industry guest speakers and are provided with opportunities to apply classroom knowledge to the optional internship program. In all tourism subjects there is a strong emphasis on applying theory to industry practice via individual and group reports, as well as industry projects.
