UTS is a multicampus university spread over two locations in the Sydney metropolitan area: City campus incorporates buildings at a number of locations close to the Central railway station; Kuring-gai campus is in a bushland setting on Eton Road, Lindfield, 15 kilometres north of the city.

With a total enrolment of approximately 32,000 students, UTS is one of the largest universities in Australia. UTS places a strong emphasis on workplace experience and develops and regularly revises its programs of study in partnership with industry, government and professional bodies. It has one of the highest rates of employment for graduates in New South Wales.
