Description

This subject provides an introduction to the wide and varied topic of sexual and reproductive health. Students examine aspects of reproductive health including: pregnancy care and family planning and sexual health including sexuality, safe sex and sexually transmitted infections. The subject provides practical support for health professionals who are required to explain and discuss reproductive and sexual health issues. Students tailor the learning to their practice context and learn practical skills in areas such as history taking and communication techniques when discussing intimate details.
