Overview
The Graduate Certificate in Management introduces students to post-graduate studies toward an enterprise-wide view of organisations embedded in a global society, integrating views that range from back-office/shop-floor to boardroom to town-hall meetings. Such a view is deemed essential to prizing the work, people, places and processes needed in today’s highly competitive and publicly scrutinized global business environment for an increasingly uncertain future.
An innovative structure provides students with an introduction to the skills, attitudes and professional capabilities involved in managing and leading across industry sectors.

The Graduate Certificate in Management is designed to meet the needs of individuals, client organisations and professional bodies for management education.

Course intended learning outcomes

Admission requirements
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
Applicants with a minimum of two years' full time, or equivalent, relevant managerial work experience, will be offered the Mid-career Management stream (STM91395), and all other applicants will be offered the Early Career Management stream (STM91394).
The managerial or supervisory work experience must be demonstrated through a C.V. and a Statement of Service confirming the dates of employment, and the position held within the organisation.
All applicants who do not meet the academic requirement may still be considered on the basis of:
• a minimum of at least four years' full time, or equivalent, relevant work experience.

The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64; or CAE: 176-184.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.
International students
Visa requirement: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.
Course duration and attendance
The course duration is one session of full-time or one year of part-time study.

Students must complete a total of 24 credit points made up of four subjects.
