Description

This subject is essentially a 'placeholder' for students while they are working in industry or the community for the purpose of the second of their two engineering internships.

2. Complete all requirements for the concurrent subject 41047 Work Integrated Learning 2

Assessment task 1: Find a job suitable for a senior internship

Intent:

Students must secure an internship before undertaking this subject.

Groupwork: Individual
Criteria:

Completeness – a suitable engineering job is obtained that meets the criteria outlined above for Task 1 and in the Engineering Practice Program Guide.

Assessment task 2: Submit your internship start documentation

Intent:

To gain timely enrolment in this subject and provide the necessary insurance cover.

Groupwork: Individual
Criteria:

Completeness – forms are filled out correctly.

Timeliness – forms are submitted within the required time.

Assessment task 3: Complete co-requisite tasks in 41047 WIL2

Intent:

Maximise learning opportunities from the workplace.

Criteria:

completeness; timeliness - all required tasks is 41037 WIL1 are completed on time.

Assessment task 4: Submit your internship finish documentation

Intent:

To provide a trigger for final assessment and completion in the subject.

Minimum requirements

In order to pass this subject, students must attempt and pass each assessment task.

Students who do not submit all assessment tasks by the due dates may be referred to the Responsible Academic Officer under Student Rule 3.8.2, and a fail result may be recorded for this subject.
