Description

This subject is designed to further consolidate and advance skills in reading, listening, speaking and writing in Italian. The subject allows for an understanding of and engagement with the sociocultural contexts in which the language is used. Students take an active part in learning activities to practice and consolidate their language skills with their peers. By the end of the session students are expected to be able to express themselves effectively and spontaneously on a variety of topics explored in class. This subject prioritises an intercultural approach where students should demonstrate intercultural knowledge (recognising diverse cultural practices of their own and target cultures), skills to discover and explore dynamic representations of their own and others' cultural practices, and skills to interpret, relate and move between the language and practices of the two or more cultures in focus.
