This subject is designed to further consolidate and advance students' skills in reading, listening, speaking and writing in Chinese. It aims to not only further develop students' linguistic skills in various sociocultural contexts, enabling them to interact and communicate with Chinese people more competently and confidently, but also to allow them to develop a good understanding of Chinese culture and contemporary Chinese society. Students are encouraged to take an active part in learning activities to practice and consolidate their language skills with their peers. By the end of the subject, students are expected to be able to express themselves effectively and spontaneously on a variety of topics explored in class.
