Description

This subject focuses on the development of educational leadership. The subject is designed to meet the needs of specialist nurses, midwives and other health professionals who seek to influence health care practice in their area of expertise and advance clinical excellence in others through the processes of education. By experientially developing an understanding of action learning, students are prepared to undertake the role of change agent, mentor, critical companion or facilitator of learning. In this subject students develop an understanding of education as an essential and strategic building block that supports, sustains and promotes practice development.
